a Technical Director based on Paris :

Purpose of the position :

The Technical Director, within a studio works together with Program Managers in the execution and delivery of large projects and/or multiple small/medium projects or in small studios (up to 100 employees). Responsible for all technology on a large project or several small/medium projects.

Task & Responsabilities :

Leading 5 to 7 Engineers who are at or above Senior level.
• Being capable of influencing a large team or multiple projects to achieve goals.
• Ensuring design is extensible across multiple projects. Conducting technical design reviews; auditing  projects to ensure best practices are followed.
• Recommending strategic code sharing opportunities. Identifying core technology that needs to be replaced or re-factored.
• Responsible for overall performance; defining metrics and setting targets for multiple or complex customers projects.
• Receiving and analyzing information on ongoing projects and sharing knowledge with the entire team in project start-ups
• Evaluating the latest technologies to apply them in business domains.
• Learning and sharing the best practices and processes within the studio and/or company.
• Leveraging existing/available technology to address dependencies. Identifying and successfully updating redundant or outdated technology.
• Creating and executing based on multi-year technology roadmaps for one or more projects. Achieving technical economies of scale across multiple teams.
• Defining staff profile, performance and training standards.
• Responsible for completing performance technical assessments for his/her team.

Specification :

Bachelor’s degree in system engineering and / or related studies such as: Graphic Design
